ABOUT ME.
MEAGAN KLOP, RMTBefore embarking on her journey of becoming a Registered Massage Therapist, Meagan spent a year in Guangzhou, China studying Chinese language and culture. As her interest in health and wellness grew, she enrolled at West Coast College of Massage Therapy to fulfill her goal of providing medical care in a calming and relaxing environment. Her style of massage is described as both relaxing and therapeutic, with prominent influences of Swedish massage, myofascial release techniques, and deep trigger point therapy. She has extensive knowledge and experience with Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (M.E.), Lyme Disease, POTS, Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, and more. She is often complimented on her calming nature and ability to make anyone feel at ease. In 2019, Meagan returned to her alma mater to become a teaching assistant and clinical supervisor. She formerly worked out of multidisciplinary clinics in downtown Vancouver before opening up her own independent office space in downtown New Westminster. In 2023 she relocated her practice to her hometown of Abbotsford, BC. Nearing the five year mark of her career, Meagan felt a calling to branch off into the world of childbirth. She's had many prenatal patients open up to her about their negative birthing experiences and expressed their dissatisfaction with how they were treated by their primary care team. Doing as much research on birth as she could, Meagan dove headfirst into coursework to be certified in providing labour support as a Registered Massage Therapist. She feels passionate about empowering others to advocate for their bodies, and makes sure every one of her clients feel as though their culture, orientation, and identity is respected and celebrated. |
